Jay McCauley Managing Director and Senior Recruiter
Jay began his career in audit and within three years was a regional controller for Penske Corporation, a multibillion dollar private company. His recruiting career started with a large, national firm and has been primarily focused on accounting and finance. He started Oxford Tax Recruiting in 2011 after seeing a strong opportunity to add value in the tax niche. Jay enjoys running, skiing, fishing, playing piano, listening to bluegrass music, traveling in Asia and spending time with his wife, son and friends.
Shale Edman Executive Recruiter
Shale is originally from Minnesota, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources & Operations Management. He moved to Denver 10 years ago and has been recruiting ever since. He is a huge Minnesota sports fan and loves to play all types of games. When he’s not working, he and his fiancé, along with their pup, can be found enjoying all of the fun our great city has to offer.
Jannell Lang Administrative Assistant
Jannell joined the OTR team as an Administrative Assistant in 2021. She provides administrative support to ensure efficient operation of office. Jannell is originally from Chicago and moved to Colorado in 2015 with her husband, daughter and son. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends exploring the outdoors, running, hiking and biking. Jannell also enjoys skiing and traveling the world.
Jonathan Cowles Regional Recruiting Manager - Pacific Northwest
Jonathan has been with OTR since 2022 and manages our recruiting operations in the Pacific Northwest. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and an MBA from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs where he had a successful baseball career as a student athlete. After deciding a career in tax accounting wasn’t in his future, he merged his accounting and sales backgrounds to begin his career in tax recruitment. In his free time, Jonathan can be found on the golf course, coaching HS baseball, or enjoying the outdoors.
Andrew Danko Executive Recruiter
Andrew is a Denver native who joined the Oxford Tax Recruiting team in 2024. He is a Graduate of the University of Colorado Colorado Springs and former college baseball player. After graduating he began his recruiting career with a national firm in the Aerospace & Defense industry and has since transitioned into the Tax niche. Outside of work, Andrew can be found traveling, golfing, seeing live music, and spending time with friends and family.
